Aircraft Communication Test Systems

Gyrosystem was contracted to design and implement the front-end of a Communications Bus-Test System PBT200, for the EFA project, to process real-time signals and events in various aircraft communications systems. 

Utilised a PC (to compile custom 'Eventware' instructions, download, and control execution) and a VMEbus front-end processor (MVME147 cpu card) to execute the instructions, thus processing multiple VMEbus signals or events. 

Also specified Syntax requirements of the compiler and wrote the 'Eventware' interpreter in C and 68030 assembler. Developed code using Turbo Pascal to create a PC Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the system.
